About the Role

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Participate in the project teams for new product development and being responsible for the industrialization of electronic parts for consumer products. 
  • Responsible for the industrialization of the PCBA’s of products 
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting of electronic parts of all consumer products during the new product introduction phase (NPI).
  • Responsible for coordinating with the venders of PCBA and ESE Dept. 
  • Give engineering support to Purchasing Dept. for sourcing alternative source of electronic components.
  • Give engineering support to Production Dept. after the product release running into mass production.
  • Investigate the FCR case from production and find a fundamental solution or work with management team to find the solution.
  • Initiate the change management documents for the engineering changes about electrical/electronic parts of shaver and other products.
  • Publish ECN/TAN for technical change.
  • Support ESD regulations and deployment in production, create an ESD proof environment and give inputs to the PFMEA’s of all new NPI projects to safeguard the ESD protection during the production processes.
  • Define the manufacturing specifications and process requirements for new projects working closely with our product development & engineering functional teams and our clients. 
  • Collaborate with the internal engineering and supply chain functional teams on manufacturing feasibility & influence supplier selection ensuring a suitable supply chain is in place prior to project kick-off. 
  • Lead the development of project proposals and statements of work for new projects including outlining the technical resource requirements and proposed project timeline to manufacturing. 
  • Through engagement with our client’s technical team, be responsible for understanding the stage in the development process the project is, and guiding them through developing robust project plans for manufacturing implementation to high volume manufacturing. 
  • Influence client specifications through design recommendations and the use of statistical tools. 
  • Implement continuous process improvement measures from initial product design through to production ramp of new development projects. 

Skills Required:

  • University degree or above in Engineering field, major in electronic or application electronic is preferred, major in communication/automation also acceptable if with rich electronics experience. 
  • Good knowledge and experience of complex electronic circuit design and microcontroller-based circuits.
  • Good understanding on the principles and working of USB, RS232 and JTAG Experience using CAD for schematic capture and PCB layout. 
  • Experience with Mentor PADS an advantage. 
  • Strong technical experience introducing new products to manufacturing from product design and development thru to high volume manufacturing. 
  • Proven experience working on hardware projects including PCBA, box-build Assembly and Manufacturing Test. 
  • An ability to work effectively in a multiple project environment is a must. 
  • Experience with blue-tooth and wifi enabled devise design is required (IoT, wearables).
